So I just bought a theme for this page and I like it, but I wonder about the blogging capabilities of the theme. It looks like it might only be a photofolio.
First Blog Post
So, I believe this is attempt three to create and maintain a blog. Last year about this time I created my own website, www.climbingtheglobe.com , but I simply couldn’t keep up with everything that I wanted to accomplish on that one page. Rather than focusing on writing or making videos, documenting each trip to the mountains or coast, plus take pictures, etc. blah blah… I’m going to be more focused. I recently recognized that I can’t do it all—pretty basic realization, but nonetheless useful. Simplicity is key. The meat of this blog will be documenting my travels, adventures and my friends that join me on these trips. Trip reports of climbs will consist of photography with brief captions and thoughts. My favorite photos will be displayed as a portifolio of my work. My thoughts, hopes, plans, and work week daydreaming will all appear on “blog”. This is the hope. When I first visited the Sierra, I never thought I would become a passionate rock climber. I never thought I would study avalanches, surf the California coast or even see Patagonia. At 27, I have done all of those things and my thirst for more is ever greater. Adventures take their own course. You tie in, trust your partner and just go for it. Just as all of my adventures have a plan or idea, so too will this blog. Where the adventure takes me is beyond my wildest dreams. Steve
